Founded in 2013 on the French Riviera, PIGMAZUR (PIGM’Azur SAS) combines a deep respect for nature with cutting-edge pigment science. Specializing in natural, non-toxic and universal pigments, our patented process uses no solvents or water — aligning fully with green chemistry. In 2020, we joined forces with Lavollée SA and Urai S.p.A., two leading raw material distributors, to boost our global impact and agility.
Our Inspiration & Technology
15 centuries of color, condensed into a modern process
Our pigments are inspired by the ancestral know-how of the Mayan civilization, who stabilized botanical colors using clay and fire. After more than 15 years of scientific research, our team succeeded in recreating this hybrid process through modern analytical techniques and eco-conscious methods. The result: high-performance natural pigments, merging ancient knowledge and today’s technological standards.

PIGMAZUR produces up to 50 tonnes of pigments annually, all compliant with European cosmetic and industrial regulations. Our pigments are up to 100% natural, certifiable (COSMOS & ECOCERT), and dispersible in water, oils, waxes and polymers. They’re engineered to resist UV, heat, pH and solvents — without comp romising safety or sustainability. We support your most ambitious formulations with reliable, eco-designed pigments that respect both people and the planet.
